W. Ryan Frykholm

Ryan is a main Principle of Municipal Disaster Consultants, Inc. and has over twenty years of professional construction experience, ten years of FEMA disaster recovery experience and is a New York State Licensed Public Insurance Adjuster. He has managed commercial construction projects that include site work, utility systems, civil construction and infrastructure installation.
His professional expertise identifying and quantifying damage and estimating repair costs, along with his understanding of insurance and FEMA program requirements, provides a unique combination of professional skills and direct project based knowledge. As the Insurance Specialist for the company, Ryan provides in depth analysis of insurance policies for our clients to ensure complete settlements and accurate assignment of claim responsibility between FEMA and insurance.
He has personally worked on disasters and supervised staff Consultants across New York State, West Virginia and Texas.
Ryan is the main point of contact for our clients and remains directly involved throughout the entire recovery process.

Susan has over twenty years of experience with Federally funded housing and economic development programs. As a Senior Planner at the City of Rochester she developed internal financial control systems for CDBG and HOME funded construction projects and programs. She also has extensive experience representing clients during Inspector General audits.
Susan has specific expertise negotiating with government entities regarding policy interpretations and clarifying the potential long term impacts of program modifications.
She has assisted not-for-profit organizations with; identifying financial resources, developing business plans and writing grant applications. She has also assisted disaster damaged communities with creating: action plans to efficiently utilize government and private funds for disaster mitigation; housing program guidelines; economic recovery strategies and advocacy campaigns.
